Wilo wins exhibitor of the year award and supports the next generation of engineers!
São Paulo, Brazil. Wilo achieved remarkable success at the first edition of IFAT, held in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 24 to 26, 2024. The company was honoured with the prestigious "Exhibitor of the Year" award in water and sanitation by Messe München, recognizing its exceptional contributions to the sector. In a dynamic atmosphere of innovation and collaboration, Wilo reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and talent development.
During IFAT Brazil, Wilo warmly welcomed customers and business partners from several Latin American countries, including, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Chile. The event was further marked by the visit of the German Vice-Consul to São Paulo, Joseph Weiss, whose attendance highlighted Wilo's strong roots in Germany. In the presence of WiloLATAM colleagues from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Germany, the company demonstrated its international presence and leading position in the sector.

During the opening day, Svenja Ahlburg, Group Director Latin America & Caribbean, took centre stage at the prestigious "German-Brazilian congress on sanitation, resource management and the circular economy" an event organized by the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK). Ahlburg's insightful participation in the panel discussion on "Intelligent Systems and Sustainable Operation for Sewage Pumping" emphasized Wilo's commitment to knowledge exchange and innovation. Continuing the momentum, Vagner Motta, Sales Manager Water Management at Wilo Brazil, delivered a compelling presentation at a technology symposium organized by The Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) on April 25th. Motta's insights into "Advanced Strategies for High-efficiency Pumping Systems" highlighted Wilo's leadership in the water industry. “IFAT 2024 was an excellent opportunity for us to present our technologies in wastewater transportation systems. Without a doubt, the Brazilian market was privileged to be able to count on this fair of such technical quality and innovation. We would like to thank Messe München immensely for their excellent support in the run-up to and during the event," concludes the WiloLATAM team.
Wilo's dedication to nurturing talent was evident in its participation in the first "University Challenge" at IFAT Brazil on the last day of the fair. Sponsored by the Wilo-Foundation and organized by Messe München, this competition provided a platform for aspiring engineers to showcase their skills. Wilo awarded the winning team with an invitation to its factory in Jundiai, São Paulo, and a visit to a reference in the Capital, benefiting millions with clean drinking water.

Looking ahead, Wilo eagerly anticipates its participation in the German edition of IFAT, set to take place in Munich from May 13th to May 17th, 2024. Under the theme of "Join the Ecolution" Wilo invites visitors to explore its innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions for water management at booth 251/350 in Hall B1. With a focus on "adapting to the results of climate change," Wilo remains strong in its commitment to shaping a sustainable future.
