This document contains additional information for IF-Module BACnet IF Module BACnet Stratos 1. General ========== When planning the integration of the IF-Modules please make sure that your system supports MS/TP slaves. Slaves cannot answer to the who-is broadcast requests used for device lookup. If your system does not support MS/TP slaves, a slave proxy device or a slave proxy capable router (e.g. UBR-01 (MBS-Software www.mbs-software.de), L-IP-ME201 (Loytec www.loytec.com)) may be used. For further details please refer to the PICS statement. To ensure the functionality of the module the following firmware versions (or higher are necessary): WILO Stratos series 5.08 WILO IP-E/DP-E 3.00 WILO IL-E/DL-E 4.00 WILO MVIE/MHIE/HELIX VE (1,1..4 kW) 3.00 WILO MVIE/HELIX VE (5,5..7,5 kW) 4.00 To enhance the performance of the MS/TP network it is recommended to use MAC adresses of 128 and above for the IF-modules. This ensures that the devices are not included in the "poll for master" procedure. For all other devices choose MAC adresses starting at 0. Set the value "max master" in each device to the highest MAC address used plus a few addressed for extensions. Gaps of addresses reduce the performance of the network due to unwanted "poll for master" and timeout issues. 2. Commissioning ================ Chapter 8.1 of the operation Manual describes the setting of the communication speed The table is updated as follows Parameter A Speed Bit/s 0 300 1 600 2 1200 3 2400 4 4800 5 9600 6 19200 7 38400 8 57600 9 115200 10 76800 3. hints ======== When a valid set of parameters (address and A, C, E, F) is choosen, the IF-module will start up and shows the ability to communicate with the "<==>" symbol in the pump. The symbol does not indicate the exchange of data. If the parameter A does not appear in the menue and/or the address cannot be set above 127 please make sure that the firmware version meets the specification above. 3.1 local operation (MO1 Bus Command Timer) ------------------------------------------------------------------ When using the BACnet IF-Module the local menue is disabled by factory setting. The local menue can be enabled permanentely by writing the value MANUAL. To use the local menu only when the BAS system fails, write the value SET at least every 5 minutes. The activation is stored an survives a power on reset. When the mechanism is no longer needed, write OFF to reset to factory setting. In case of MANUAL mode or timeout the objects for control (setpoint and others are set to "out of service". If the BAS fails (does not rewrite SET within 5 minutes) the E54 is displayd at the pump. Then the menue can be entered to adjust the settings WILO SE Dortmund 2010-12-10 www.wilo.com/automation
