New “Wilo-LCC-Check” online
Convincing arguments for preventive pump replacements

The “Wilo-LCC-Check” is available online and craftsmen do not need a special login. The tool can either be called up via the Wilo homepage www.wilo.com, or directly at http://lcc-check.wilo.com. Once it has been called up, the first step is to select the existing pump or to enter the relevant data from the name plate into the application. The “Wilo-LCC-Check” then proposes the duty point of the existing pump which is either taken over or calculated anew with the help of the building and installation data. This step calculates roughly to what extent the existing pump is overdimensioned and ensures an additional saving potential because the new Wilo high-efficiency pump can be dimensioned exactly according to the needs. Finally, the purchase and installation costs are entered in order to calculate at what point the investment will pay off.
Dirk Geissler, Head of Marketing at Wilo, points out the special features of the new application: “The “Wilo-LCC-Check” cannot be compared with the already familiar replacement guide. It is a service and argumentation aid for the craftsman which pursues his customer to replace old uncontrolled existing pumps preventively by appropriate Wilo high-efficiency pumps. The Wilo-LCC-Check gives operators of any heating installations convincing decision support”. Geissler further states, that the life cycle costs of a heating pump can be compared to an iceberg. Only the lowest part of the costs, that is the purchase and installation costs, are visible for the customer. The electricity costs of the existing pumps however are much higher. They are hidden somewhere in the electricity bill and accumulate year after year. These costs are calculated with the “Wilo-LCC-Check” and are convincingly illustrated in a graphic.
