PLR
PLR is the established Wilo protocol for the communication with pumps. It is based on a point-to-point connection and can do without addressing.
Many existing link-ups connections to building automation are based on this technology.PLR is a classic point-to-point connection between pump and pump master computer (PumpenLeitRechner = PLR). A physical interface is needed for every pump. The Wilo specific protocol is easy, it is based on the current loop principle and allows a transmission over long distances. For the interconnection of several pumps via a RS485 interface, Wilo offers the DigiCon interface converter.

Wilo-DigiCon interface converter
The Wilo-DigiCon interface converter converts the PLR protocol into the well-established and commonly used RS485 interface. All Wilo pumps with PLR interface become thus BUS-capable. Up to 4 pumps can be connected to one interface converter.
