Dortmund. The Supervisory Board of WILO SE appointed Oliver Hermes (39) the new Chairman of the Executive Board of the long established company from Dortmund with effect from 1st  January 2010.

WILO SE is one of the leading manufacturers of pumps and pump systems for heating, cooling and air-conditioning technology and for water supply and drainage and sewage. The company has representative offices in more than 70 countries and employs approximately 6,000 people throughout the world. In 2008, turnover amounted to 977 m. Euros.

Since October 2006, Mr. Hermes has been responsible for the Board Section Finances, Controlling and Human Resources. His new function as the Chairman of the Executive Board will offer him additional co-ordination tasks in the development of the company's strategy, in supervisory board matters as well as in internal and external communication.

In a press release, Dr. Heinz-Gerd Stein, Chairman of the Wilo Supervisory Board, wishes him all the best for the new executive function and thanks him for his previous achievements. Particularly in 2009, the year of the world financial crisis, Oliver Hermes together with Dr. Holger Krasmann, member of the Executive Board, responsible for Technology and Production, successfully steered the globally operating company group "through choppy seas".

Before entering Wilo, Dipl.-Oec. Oliver Hermes was a partner at the auditing firm KPMG.
