WILO SE expands its executive board with finance expert

Mathias Weyers becomes CFO of the Wilo group

Dortmund. With effect from 1 December 2016 Mathias Weyers will be the new Chief Financial Officer of WILO SE. As a new member of the executive board Weyers is taking over responsibility for the departments of Controlling & Accounting, Finance & Law, Internal Audit & Compliance as well as Information Management at the Dortmund-based pump manufacturer. “We are pleased to be able to welcome Mr Weyers as an additional member of the executive board and wish him much success in his management duties,” greets Prof. Dr. Wieselhuber, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of WILO SE.

Mathias Weyers has worked for Wilo for 10 years and has so far achieved success in the supervision and management of the Finance & Law department. The 46-year-old decisively helped in shaping the profitable growth and financial independence of the group by, among other things, implementing a sustainable financing strategy as well as the development of long-term oriented finance partners. “Mr Weyers has become a dependable and successful manager over the years in the executive board. With the new division of the executive board responsibilities we are now set up to be more efficient and effective in the future,” stresses CEO Oliver Hermes.

Before working for Wilo, Mathias Weyers spent seven years at the KPMG AG auditing firm, then he switched for two years to Infineon Technologies AG.
